Gracenote is the leading provider of entertainment information, with industry-leading databases of TV, movie, and music metadata for entertainment guides, applications and in-car entertainment. We supply data to top entertainment platforms and devices.



Role

We are looking for a Schedule Editor who will be responsible for efficiently processing and curating television schedules. Your main tasks will include accurately updating electronic programming guides (EPG) provided by different content providers. As a Schedule Editor, you will also maintain and improve the Gracenote database that powers our consumer product and enhances the end-user experience. We need someone who can process a large amount of entertainment metadata with precision and timeliness, and manipulate the data effectively for use in our database.

Responsibilities
  • Acquire, normalize, and enhance entertainment metadata from various content providers.
  • Process and manipulate data for correct ingestion into our software tools.
  • Curate and rewrite synopses for movies, shows, and episodes as needed.
  • Create high-quality, accurate, and evergreen content in the Gracenote database.
  • Communicate with clients, partners, and internal teams to meet production needs.
  • Investigate and verify programming content when necessary.
  • Run quality assurance checks on the live database.
  • Contribute to team and department projects as assigned.
  • Perform research and source content as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Skills
  • Strong understanding of metadata and its applications.
  • Good written and spoken English language skills.
  • Ability to switch between British, American, and Australian English.
  • Proactive approach to workflow efficiency.
  • Excellent client service orientation and communication skills.
  • Interest in and working knowledge of TV scene at local, national, and international levels.
  • Willingness to work in shifts and during holidays.
